Dave graduated from Murdoch University, Western Australia, in 1980, with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and a Bachelor of Science. He has successfully treated all species and managed practices throughout the majority of Australia. He established VEVS in August 2002, seeking to specifically work with the equine community of South East Queensland.
David has a special interest in equine dentistry and reproduction and small animal surgery. David has now passed his entrance exams to gain membership in the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Equine Dentistry. Through his hard-work and extensive expertise David was awarded the prestigious position of a Churchill Fellowship in the area of Equine Dentistry. In 2011, as part of his award, David travelled to America and the United Kingdom to study with the world's finest practitioners of equine dentistry, further cementing his knowledge and experience in this field.
In his (very limited) spare time, David loves to take a ride on his motorcycle, have a drop of red, and hit the snowy slopes for some fast-paced skiing action. David would love to get back in the saddle at some point in the near future, if our busy practice would permit it!

Pania Sutton
Veterinary Nursing, Reception & Administration

We have been incredibly lucky to have Pania on our office team from 2011, she had already done courses in business management. She has managed large businesses, including construction companies and thoroughbred spelling and pre-training establishments. She even owned and operated her own swimwear label (Kimaloko), her Diploma of Arts Fashion Design providing a fun and dedicated skills set. Pania had also worked in Horseland for 7 years, providing her with an even wider knowledge of the equine industry.
She is an incredibly talented horsewoman, and has been an avid rider from 4 years of age. Her equine interests range wide and include showing, hacking, hunters, and thoroughbreds. She has been showing in these disciplines from 10 years old. Her two favourite horses are Mindi Cane, a thoroughbred with a sweet and gentle soul; and Turner, whom she watched being born and now shows in hunter.
Pania adores her horses, but when she's not hanging out with her equines or working you'll find her with her dogs (border collies & shepherds), or in the ocean, perhaps even going on a dive!

Liz has been our wonderful business consultant as she has an abundance of knowledge and experience in the veterinary industry. She has not only completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, but has also gained her diploma of Veterinary Practice Management; these coupled with her 25 years of veterinary nursing make her an invaluable tool in delivering the very best in service and assistance to our clients.
Liz has always held a deep love and interest in all creatures large and small from a very young age, and has not only been able to develop this in her career but also in the beef property which she runs with her family out at Running Creek. She enjoys spending time with all of her animals, particularly when she gets to do the property's cattle work or finds the time to compete in Campdrafting with her family.

She has graduated a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English and History, and is currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education. She has gained her mother's deep love of animals and the environment, and aims to pass on these sentiments to her future students.
Emily's doggie is Rusty, an energetic Alsation-Ridgeback cross. Rusty was a stray taken from the Animal Welfare League, and is very happy in his new life as a highly-spoilt pooch! She also has a devon rex cat called Mogwai, whose favourie place is nestled on anyone's lap! Emily enjoys caring for her lovely light sussex and australorp hens, who are extremely friendly and love to free range in her backyard and have dirt baths.
