Hello all,

We are very sad to announce Dr Kylie will be having a break from our practice. This is due to the financial climate, which has led to our equine work slowing down a bit, and as a result we have been unable to complete the equine surgery, and even upon completion due to the economy we would likely not be able to get enough surgical cases to support Dr Kylie's expertise at this stage.

Dr Kylie is a superb surgeon, and after passing the exams to be board-certified she now needs to be operating on a certain quota of horses to officially be recognised as a specialist and follow her lifelong dream.

We are all so sorry to say goodbye for now, and we will truly miss not only her reliable and expert veterinary skills, but the cheery and cheeky presence she had about the place.

We hope one day, when things pick up for our local community, we will be able to have her return and be a part of our team once more.

We wish you the very best of luck, we know whichever hospital gains you, will not only be gaining a world-class surgeon, but also a supportive and kind team member. Take care, you will be sorely missed by us all

As soon as Kylie secures residency at a hospital we will let everyone know. We are all hoping she is placed somewhere in SE Qld, so that we can refer our surgical cases to be under her expert care.

This condition is often seen in older horses, especially those with an athletic lifestyle...
