Hello again,

Hoping you all had a wonderful Christmas break and New Years, and that 2012 is a very happy and healthy year for each and every one of you!

If you follow the news, you will have seen the latest outbreak of Hendra Virus, this time in Townsville. • An electrolyte lick may aid replacement of vital salts, as well as also encouraging them to drink
  • If you have a chance, give your horse a cool hosedown, they will appreciate it!
  • Finally, it should go without saying, but avoid heavy rugs, and provide shade.

The heart rate and respiratory rates are often elevated and the horse often appears distressed...
